Editing the Quiz Challenge Details

  1. This will bring you to the Quiz Challenge's edit view.
    1. Enter a title.
    2. Enter a quiz question.
    3. (Optional) If you'd like to display some text underneath the green Completed checkmark at the bottom of the challenge once the challenge is completed, type it into the After Complete box. Unlike the popups that appear after the challenge is completed, text typed in here will always be available for players to view. However, it is more subtle than the popups.
    4. (Optional) If you'd like to display an image, enter the URL of an image that is publicly hosted online or upload your own!
      • Enter the aspect ratio of the image. Aspect ratio = image width/image height. For example, a 1024x1024 size image would have an aspect ratio of 1, while a 1024x512 size image would have an aspect ratio of 2, etc.
    5. (Optional) If you'd like to embed a sound clip, enter the URL of a sound clip that is publicly hosted online or upload your own!
    6. (Optional) If you'd like to include a video, enter the URL of a video that is publicly hosted online or upload your own!
    7. (Optional) If you'd like to include a YouTube video, enter in its ID. You can get the ID from the video's page by clicking on [Share] -- the ID is everything after the last "/" in the link. For example, for this video: https://youtu.be/fSsP63gBQnI the ID is fSsP63gBQnI.
    8. Enter the number of points the challenge is worth.
    9. (Optional) If you only want players to be able to attempt the challenge once, check the box next to Single try.
    10. By default, the box will be checked to "Use event start and end dates." If you would like for this specific challenge not to appear until a certain date and time or to disappear by a certain date and time, you may set a start and end time that's different from the event.
    11. (Optional) If you want to create a random pool of challenges, of which only 1 is shown to the player, enter in a name for this pool in the Pool name textbox.
      • If you want to add another challenge to the same pool as this one, make sure to type in EXACTLY the same Pool name. Take care not to add any extra spaces or punctuation, otherwise our system will likely read it as a separate challenge pool.
      • You can have multiple challenge pools! We recommend making the pool names descriptive, i.e. "colors," "shapes," "numbers," instead of "pool1," "pool2," "pool3," so that there is less risk of typing in the wrong Pool name.
    12. (Optional) If you want this challenge to be shown in the [Challenges] --> [Places] tab, check the box next to Show on the Places map.
      • If you have the exact coordinates, you can enter them in the latitude and longitude fields. Otherwise you may drag the blue pin on the map to set the location. If you need help getting coordinates check out the bottom of this article: [GPS] How to Create GPS Challenges.
    13. Enter the correct answer.
    14. Enter three incorrect answer options.
    15. (Optional) If you'd like to give your players extra points for answering quickly, enter in the max bonus points you'd like them to receive, followed by the number of seconds they have to earn some portion of those points.
      • If you'd like the question to appear only after players tap to start the challenge, type it into the Bonus Description box. If you use this option, we recommend typing a message into the regular Description box letting your players know that the question is timed and will appear after they tap to start the challenge.
      • For example, we usually write: "This is a timed quiz! The timer will start when you tap start the challenge."
    16. By default, the message a player will see in a popup upon choosing the correct answer is set to "Congrats! You got the right answer!" Feel free to change this message if you would like.
    17. By default, the message a player will see in a popup upon choosing an incorrect answer is set to Sorry, that's not the right answer. Try again!" Feel free to change this message if you would like.
      • NOTE: If you checked the box in Step #9, you should update this message so that the "Try again!" text is removed.
  2. Then tap the [UPDATE] button.
  3. The details will now update in the Challenges Tab in the event.
