Editing the Text Challenge Details

  1. This will bring you to the Text Challenge's edit view.
    1. Enter a title.
    2. Enter a text description explaining what players should enter for the text challenge.
    3. (Optional) If you'd like to display some text underneath the green Completed checkmark at the bottom of the challenge once the challenge is completed, type it into the After Complete box. Unlike the popups that appear after the challenge is completed, text typed in here will always be available for players to view. However, it is more subtle than the popups.
    4. (Optional) If you'd like to display an image, enter the URL of an image that is publicly hosted online or upload your own!
      • Enter the aspect ratio of the image.Aspect ratio = image width/image height. For example, a 1024x1024 size image would have an aspect ratio of 1, while a 1024x512 size image would have an aspect ratio of 2, etc.
    5. (Optional) If you'd like to include a sound clip, enter the URL of a sound clip that is publicly hosted online or upload your own!
    6. (Optional) If you'd like to include a video, enter the URL of a video that is publicly hosted online or upload your own!
    7. (Optional) If you'd like to include a YouTube video, enter in its ID. You can get the ID from the video's page by clicking on [Share] -- the ID is everything after the last "/" in the link. For example, for this video: https://youtu.be/fSsP63gBQnI the ID is fSsP63gBQnI.
    8. Enter the number of points the challenge is worth.
    9. If you want to use Text Match, refer to our article on it HERE.
    10. By default, the box will be checked to "Post to feed upon approval." If you would like for this specific challenge's photo submissions not to appear in the Feed, uncheck the box.
    11. By default, the box will be checked to "Use event start and end dates." If you would like for this specific challenge not to appear until a certain date and time or to disappear by a certain date and time, you may set a start and end time that's different from the event.
    12. (Optional) If you want to create a random pool of challenges, of which only 1 is shown to the player, enter in a name for this pool in the Pool name textbox.
      • If you want to add another challenge to the same pool as this one, make sure to type in EXACTLY the same Pool name. Take care not to add any extra spaces or punctuation, otherwise our system will likely read it as a separate challenge pool.
      • You can have multiple challenge pools! We recommend making the pool names descriptive, i.e. "colors," "shapes," "numbers," instead of "pool1," "pool2," "pool3," so that there is less risk of typing in the wrong Pool name.
    13. (Optional) If you want this challenge to be shown in the [Challenges] --> [Places] tab, check the box next to Show on the Places map.
      • If you have the exact coordinates, you can enter them in the latitude and longitude fields. Otherwise you may drag the blue pin on the map to set the location. If you need help getting coordinates check out the bottom of this article: [GPS] How to Create GPS Challenges.
    14. By default, the message a player will see in a popup upon submitting the text is set to "You've successfully submitted your text!" Feel free to change this message if you would like.
    15. By default, the message a player will see in a popup if there is an error when submitting the text is set to "Please try again!" Feel free to change this message if you would like.
  2. Then tap the [UPDATE] button.
  3. The details will now update in the Challenges Tab in the event.

Formatting Challenge Text

Spending a little extra time to format your challenge descriptions with bold or underlined text can help highlight key notes or requirements. You can also include line breaks to create paragraphs or include URL links that they can tap on directly within the app. Review our help guide article here to learn more: https://eventzee.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/48001171524-eventzee-app-how-to-format-text
